Lagerway assured that Dempsey is having good progress to his health condition, and is showing a great attitude to work so far. Ever since, efforts have been made to get Dempsey ready for the training camp. FRANK LAMPARD ADDS ANOTHER GOAL TO HIS MLS TALLY

Former Chelsea play maker, Frank Lampard added another goal to his MLS tally as he scored in the game again in the match against Seattle Sounders.

The goal was however contended as Sounders players claim the ball was controlled using his arm rather than his chest.

The 38-year old, who has struggled with injuries since finally resuming in the MLS despite the sale from Chelsea two years back, scored a goal in the previous game alongside Pirlo and Villa. The distinguished players are legends in their own right but have faced little problems since joining the MLS. The three scored in the 3-2 victory over Philadelphia Union, successfully ending their eight match unbeaten.

Lampard, who retired from international football for England after the 2014 World Cup, got his second goal as he was among the goal scorers as New York City thrash Seattle Sounders. Seattle were surprised by the shock 2-0 victory at home. The head coach Sigi Schmid kept on insisting that the ball was a handball, even after the game.

Lampard scored the goal in the first half in the 38th minute. Andrea Pirlo took the corner kick and the opposition cleared it but not out of the 18 yard box. R.J. COPA AMERICA COULD HELP PHOENIX GET INTO MLS FOOTBALL

With the large influx of fans into the Phoenix-area to see the Copa America soccer tournament at University of Phoenix stadium, there are now rising speculations if the buzz could lead to a Major League Soccer team in Phoenix anytime soon.

Phoenix is one of the ten venues around the country that is hosting the tournament in America. Two games have already been played in Glendale and the third-place match is already set to be hosted in the city on Saturday. Of the ten cities hosting, the Phoenix-area is the only one that does not have its own Major League Soccer team. This is the reason why the speculations have been flying around.

The editor of Arizona soccer website AZKicksIt.com says the football league does market studies, and that if the Phoenix-area continues to host international games and fans continue to show up, then better things could be in stock for the city. However, He added that the fans would need to show up for more than just Copa America or international soccer games to increase the likelihood of that happening. He went on to mention that Philadelphia got their team based on fan support, so Phoenix can do it as well. The editor said the fans just needs to continue to support the soccer programs and the teams that take place in the city.

The winning streak of San Jose Earthquakes has extended to 4 matches

Dominic Kinnear and his squad are going through a fine form as they have secured their 4th consecutive victory after defeating LA Galaxy with the only goal of the entire match being scored by Shea Salinas at the 18th minute.

Another noteworthy accomplishment that Dominic Kinnear has achieved with his team besides the successive string of victories is the clean sheets that they have secured as San Jose Earthquakes has managed to not concede a single goal in any of these 4 past matches of their winning streak.

This string of victories is what San Jose Earthquakes needed in order to bounce back from the disastrous campaign that they were going through back in July when they couldn’t win a single match and lost all of their matches of that month. It was a losing streak which originated on July 2nd after Dominic Kinnear’s team lost against LA Galaxy and couldn’t win a single match until August 15 when they defeated Colorado Rapids.
